In 2014, Ubicquia founder and chairman Lowell Kraff called his high school friend, Ian Aaron, to say happy birthday. The conversation turned to Ubicquia’s future.
As a data scientist and engineer at heart, Ian saw an opportunity hidden in plain sight. Streetlights and transformers are everywhere. With the right technology, they could become intelligent networks, transforming how cities and utilities operate.
