Smart Cities World City Profiles explore how the world’s leading cities apply technology and innovation to improve public services, solve urban problems and enhance quality of life.

Smart Cities Connect selected Dallas to receive the top honour in the 2023 Smart 50 Awards, which recognizes cities around the world for innovative smart city projects. Dallas won the award for its Red Cloud pilot project, a smart community “in which all streets, alleys and sidewalks were reconstructed in conjunction with technological quality-of-life improvements.”

In this edition, they focus on Dallas, Texas, the ninth largest city in the U.S. and one of two core cities in the DallasFort Worth (DFW) metroplex.
